This week I mainly spent my time getting caught up on my rover project that I had been working on last year. The main component of this was researching the different parts and features of my design to help to get back into the design process of looking at the things needed to be completed. On a first look, I saw that one issue that needed to be fixed was to add some extra support to the brackets that connects the suspension and wheels to the main body of the rover. I noticed that right now there is not a lot of extra support and it would improve the stability greatly during operation.

One smaller goal I worked on was getting a new tag for my work box, which was currently missing a tag. The first thing that I did was taking the measurements of the box to properly redesign my tag to fit in place perfectly. After this step was done I remodeled the tag in CAD and, lastly, cut it out on the laser cutter and attached it to my box. On top of that I also did some updates and extra work on my website, adding more to my project sections and making the website as a whole look nicer.

For the rover, I have decided that it is time to begin to assemble a prototype of it and begin testing how well the design currently works. I started this process this week by making a list of all of the current parts of the rover and deciding how I wish to produce them. Now that I have created this list, I am excited to begin to create and assemble the first rover prototype next week.
