This week I focused in on the importance of proper design in my project and realized that I needed to better facilitate the trait of robustness in my project. Mr. Christy helped immensely with this task and he was able to find a mental attachment which I used as a replacement to the 3d model. This was due to the 3d printer lack of accuracy when printing leave extra tolerance when in use. The other issue with the 3d print was its predictability when it came to falling off of the motor, not staying properly on. With the new metal piece, I then designed a new bottom plate for the metal piece to mount to which I laser cut and attached promptly.

After this was complete I then turned my interest to testing the new prototype, which was far more stable than previous. This made be feel far safer than before as I no longer had the fear of the bottom piece flying off of the motor. With this complete I attached white board erasers onto the bottom and tested it on the whiteboard. My main conclusion from the tests is that the overall stability and usability are good, however even with the current new motor, the torque is still inadequate to what is necessary for the types of cleaning I want to perform.
