This week I mainly worked on making a few tweaks with my CAD design and also thinking about how I am going to begin constructing some of the larger components of the project. Earlier in the week I decided on how I was to go about 3d printing the handle as well as the large body piece of the cleaner. On top of that I worked on creating a route to attach a potentiometer to adjust the speed of the motor in cad which should work well. Finally this week I decided to construct a new test for the cleaner in which I borrowed a plat from the culinary vocational program upstairs and smeared lots of jelly onto the plate. Before I can do the experiment however I just need to grab sponging from my house to attach to the cleaner which will then be ready for testing. Finally to prepare for the test I made sure to completely cover the bottom of the cleaner in Velcro to allow the sponge to stick to the entire bottom side. I am exited to test my project and see its performance hopefully sometime this Friday before we leave for winter break.
