With another shortened week due to the snow, on Wednesday when I arrived back to the shop, I decided to take a short break from my main project to focus on creating a small gift for my Dad's birthday. After thinking of small tools I could possibly make using metal, I decided on creating a bottle opener. Soon after, I started work on the design. After doing a little research and looking at other examples, I created a final design for the opener.

After this was done the next step was to cut it out using the water jet along with the other pieces that I needed for my rover. After getting the files ready, I received help from another classmate as I have not used to machine before, after learning the process, I was able to to get all of the pieces I wanted cut out with one final remaining rover suspension leg left for tomorrow. All of the pieces were cut using 1/4 inch aluminum and the results were great! Next week I plan to attach and glue the legs onto the rover, once this is done, I will be entirely done with the general design, leaving only the PCB remaining.
