This week I have finally began to wrap of the dish cleaner project. The first thing I had to focus on this week was looking for a 11.1 volt battery online. This project, once complete will be a personal project, meaning that parts like a battery are things that I will buy. However to find the battery that best suites my project I had to do a little bit of hunting. The main problem with looking of the battery best fit for my project was I needed to find the same battery that I had modeled my container for it around. The second challenge arose after finding it online, when I saw that the battery was only sold in pair, this made me spend even more time searching for a battery with both comparable sizing, as well as comparable stats.

After some further investigating I was able to find one that fit such criteria. With it being sold as a single or double. The only issue was the milliamperes which was slightly lower at 500 compared to the original battery of 650. However after calculating the average battery life for a use would only be diminished by roughly 10 minutes meaning that it was overall, a far better fit with it not only being cheaper, but also it being the singular battery as I am not in need of any more than that. The one other part I needed to purchase for this project is an adaptor for this battery, as the formatting for power and ground are slightly different than that of a PCB board. After some research I discovered that the connector on my battery as an xt-30 and I was quickly able to find an adaptor that supported JST.

Finally after determining everything I needed to buy I quickly made a google sheet to have all of the information for buying later. However after this point I decided to put my project on pause, and instead focus on brainstorming ideas for a new project. The two things that I am think about incorporating into my design involve: 1, some form of remote control system and 2, possibly some form of mini submarine. My main reasoning for trying to create a submarine was while researching the dish cleaner. While looking for methods of keeping it safe from water I stumbled across and interesting project that someone had created of a very small remote control submarine. I think this idea is very interesting and I love the challenge of trying to create it, however before delving in I first began to do some basic research on remote control, with looking at some basic processes of different receivers. I hope to continue learning more about how to make a remote control, and potentially get my hand on some of the equipment necessary.
