This week, I spent a lot of my time continuing to work on designing my controller for the Rover. At the start of this week I designed a new schematic for the second transmitting PCB which would act as part of the controller. After, I moved onto designing the PCB. At first I opted in for a large design in a controller shape which would help to act as the base for the PCB. Once complete, I switched the design to 3d and worked on creating the surrounding items necessary for the controller.

After finishing the initial design, I decided next the mill a test cut of the PCB to ensure that it would work correctly. However, before cutting I realized that the design was too big to mill so I decided to redesign it. Instead I opted for the general shape to be made from acrylic, then attaching it the PCB onto it instead. Once the design was complete, I moved onto creating all of the parts for a test design. I cut out the mount for the Joysticks attaching them into place. I then cut out the base to attach the joystick section to. After this was complete, I moved onto the final piece of the controller: the handles. For this part, I printed out TPU grips with which I attached to the acrylic via double sided tape.

Finally, at the end of the week, I finally moved on to cutting out the test PCB which turned out exactly as intended.
