This week I finally finished mounting all of the final stability modifications onto the rover. On Monday, I was finally finished printing all of the parts. Once this step was done then I next went over to the machine shop. While I was there I press fit the bearings into the brand new bracket mounts using the vice grip as the tolerance was very low however now they fit tightly in their holes. After this I then tapped my new join piece which did not take long. Once this was complete I then moved on to disassembling and reassembling the new pieces of the suspension back onto the rover. Compared to before, the general stability of the rover has improved drastically, the only things I want to add is extra support on the main body and replace the acrylic legs for aluminum.

After this was complete I spent the rest of the week looking for possible new motors I could use for my rover. In the shop I found a few good candidates with a high torque, however all of them lacked the ideal RPM that I was looking for. After finding higher powered motors with the same dimensions online, I decided to to design a mount using these dimensions. My idea is to test the high torque motors in the shop and if they work how I want them to I could then order the motors online. Next week I hope to print out the larger wheels that I designed as well as mount the new motors I chose to see if this will improve the rovers quality even more.
