This week I started by first designing my a new model for my motor mount. Initially, I was not a huge fan of the design, the motors
did not have the strongest torque and I wanted a higher RPM. Instead I decided to settle with a slightly higher powered motor however, this required me to design a brand new motor mount to house the updated design.

Once figuring this out, I took the dimensions of the motor and then came up with my first design however this design was far from ideal, the screw holes were slightly off and the deep housing made it hard to work with the motor. After figuring this out, I next switched to a new design, in which, I removed part of the enclosure and adjusted the screw hole sizing and spacing. Once these changes were complete, I began my second 3D print. Once it was complete, I then inserted and mounted my motor in place. It fit perfectly, so I moved on to laser cutting my updated suspension leg to connect the new motor mount to the rest of the rover. Once this was complete, I was able to assemble the new design. I hope to continue working on the wheels next week and rig up a new prototype for testing soon. The one other thing I need to create it updated treads with better material for superior traction and control.
