This week, I fully finished my updated design for my new motor mounts. At the start of the week, after confirming the sizing for my motor mounts, I decided to print out all of the remaining motor mounts for the other motors on the rover. Once I had finished printing them, I took them out, and ensured that they had all been printed correctly without any issues. Once that was complete, I needed to pry out all of the 3d printed scaffolding inside of the casing, this ended up taking quite a while as the hole was very small and it was hard to fit tools in to take the filament out. However, once this step was complete, I was fully ready to move on and begin assembling.

The first step in assembling as to laser cut all of the remaining motor mount connecting pieces, These pieces are essential as they are what allow the mounts to be connected to all of the other parts of the suspension. After this step was finally complete, I next moved onto screwing all of the motors into place. This took a little while, as I needed to find the screws with the correct height to fit through both the mount and the motor itself. Lastly, It was time to put the entire new design together. Slowly, I removed each of the old suspension pieces, some being very stuck and even requiring a vice grip. Then I placed each of the new pieces into place. On Friday, I hope to finish redesigning new wheels to fit the new style of motor. Once this is done all I need to do is find stronger treads and I will be able to test the design officially.
